What I've checked out from the library + been reading lately:
Legendary Authors + the Clothes They Wore by Terry Newman
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
The Unsettlers by Mark Sundeen
A Year Between Friends by M. Vettesse + S. Barnes
The Year of Living Danishly by Helen Russell

Social justice sewing academy + how we can help.
I've loved Jenny for years, so it was a pleasure to read her words regarding her small wardrobe.
Fashion Revolution podcast.
Julie Pointer Adam's lovely (small) home.
A great list of ways to help Houston. We've donated to World Relief's fund that will go directly to area churches helping
victims locally. I think we may fill a box of useful bits to send this weekend.

Hope you have a safe + happy weekend, friends!

Love,
Jane

Eleanor Oliphant was very good...it took a couple chapters to get into...but I'm so glad that I kept reading! :)

I'd be particularly interested to hear your reviews of "Legendary Authors" and "Living Danishly."

I anticipated "Legendary Authors" excitedly. It had some lovely moments, but for the most part did not meet my expectations. There are not very many pictures, and I didn't always feel like the focus was really on clothing. It felt like there wasn't much information available about what the author wore or why, so speculation took over. I don't like saying that about a book, because the author probably just had a different bent than what I'd hoped for.

"Living Danishly" is somewhat surprising, in that Denmark doesn't necessarily come across as the sparkling perfection that I expected it would. Having moved countries, I understand some of the jarring culture mismatch that occurs. Some offbeat themes are explored...like relationships with animals. Overall, I like it...but differently than I thought that I would. :)

"Legendary Authors..." sounds like a pretty big let-down. Thanks for your honest review! Great concept for a book if only there were more information available...

"Living Danishly" still sounds fun. I'm glad the author didn't romanticize Denmark too much--- as an American living in Germany, it bugs me when I hear too many wildly optimistic fairy tales about Europe. =)

I loved the Jenny Gordy interview! I missed that one, so was glad you mentioned it. Also, I loved Julie Pointer Adam's home tour. So inspiring! Thank you for sharing, Jane! xo
