I've been thinking lately about what an ethical wardrobe is really. I think that it has to be one that our resources can sustain for every single human on the planet. This will for many of us mean wearing our clothing over + over, purchasing less + repairing more.
My most recent work experience has been in shops...roasting beans from known farmers in a coffee shop, shopkeeping in an ethical home goods shop + shopkeeping in an earth, maker + wellness focused shop + spa. I love my work + I sometimes imagine having my own shop. I love cheering on makers that make beautiful products that consider farmers, makers + the planet.
When you have a real shop, you have to think through what sells + why that might be. In this space, I can just curate what I love + let you know why. I don't have to try to get you to buy things. You can purchase straight from the makers, when you need something.
And so, this is where I curate my favorites. I envision switching this up just like a real shop, so you'll always find current styles + colorways. The items will change seasonally, with my tastes + discoveries.
I've always written fairdare as an offering...as a way to participate in hope for our planet's future flourishing. I view my paid ($16/hour) labor in somewhat the same way. If you find something of value here, you might think of leaving a tip + I'd be humbly grateful. But sincerely, absolutely no pressure. Let's just do good things for the planet + each other- k? :)
Sincerely, Heather

:: intimates ::
I believe that intimates can be the gateway to people thinking more critically about the clothing they purchase.
Many of us care about what we put into our bodies, which can translate to seeing the value in caring about that first layer we put onto our bodies. A single pair of underwear is a relatively small investment + these brands offer some incredible options that really highlight what it possible!
