Blessing The Hands That Feed Us by Vicki Robin has me planning my garden + wondering what my favorite farmers are up to.

Like a tiny library for food!

A not to be missed episode of This American Life.
Buttons with 80% of the proceeds donated to the Natural Resources Defense Council.

We had Foodsharing fridges all over Berlin where you could store leftovers etc. for others to take. Unfortunately, they were banned by the "food supervisory office" because they could not make sure that the food was safe... (typical German way to shut down good ideas.) You can now go to a website where you can see people offering "shopping baskets" with (new/opened/half used/fresh produce) food they no longer want on a map and you can just go to their house and ask if you can have it.

I love that you have such a nice library offering beautiful books. I really enjoyed the Fashion revolution fanzine.

I heard about the fridges, but didn't know they were subsequently banned. I love that people found ways around it! So glad you liked the fanzine! :) I was so happy that we could read it online!
